NEW FACEBOOK VIRUS

COMPROMISED THOUSANDS OF FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS

Seculert an Internet Security company recently reported, that there are 45k facebook accounts, been compromised by a new facebook virus named Ramnit worm. All we know that a "worm" type of virus is programmed to distribute itself automatically when it started to operate.

This virus can be acquired easily, by clicking unknown links pmed or posted to you by one of your friends in your facebook wall. If for example you click an infected link, you will will be then transferred to a website created by the hacker, which automatically sends or downloads infected files directly to your PC, without noticing by you.

Once your computer is infected by Ramnit worm, your facebook account will also get infected. Your account will automatically post infected links to your facebook and friends wall. As it was posted by you, your friends will easily be convince to click that link contained with virus. That's where cycle starts repeatedly, making this virus easily acquire victims.

If you feel that your computer have this virus, don't panic coz there is a way to detect it, actually, even without using an antivirus. It's because of a file that will appear if you are infected by this worm. The name of the file is "desktoplayer.exe", just search it using the default search application of your computer.

Just follow these simple steps: 1. Click "start" button located in the bottom left of your screen. 2. Click "search" at the right side above "run" button. 3. after that search window will appear in the left side, click and find "all files and folders". 4. Input box will appear, click the first box namely "All or part of the file name". input there the name of the file "desktoplayer" without quotes and then hit or press "enter". 5. if "desktoplayer" appeared, 100 percent your computer is infected.

Preventing this virus from infiltrating your pc, is not as hard as you think. With a simple easy precaution to implement, your computer and account will be safe from attacks. Start it with observing and reading what you click. Don't just click and click links what you see in your wall, Coz almost 50% of links posted in facebook contains viruses. Porn and semi-porn images or videos are 100% contains a virus so don't ever click it unless you want to sacrifice your PC and Facebook account security.

We all know that everyday thousands of new viruses are created, that's why we need to double our efforts to prevent those virus from infecting our system. Installing antivirus and updating it frequently can lessen the threats of this evil programs that surrounds our computers.
